In partnership with Premier Business Network (PBN), SoMe Solutions launched the Unicorn Project, a ₦20 million initiative to spotlight and scale Nigeria’s next iconic women-led brand. Today, we are proud to unveil the 20 outstanding businesses that made it to this year’s shortlist, and the five remarkable finalists now in the running to be crowned the Unicorn Brand.
Women entrepreneurs continue to face an uneven playing field. In Nigeria, less than 2% of venture capital funding reaches women-led businesses, despite their significant role in innovation, job creation, and community impact. The Unicorn Project was created to close this gap, equipping one deserving entrepreneur with ₦500,000 in cash, a ₦20 million PR and brand package, mentorship, influencer partnerships, and visibility across Africa.
